This is just to remind you that if you need to cancel a lesson it really helps me out if you can give as much notice as possible. At least two to three hours (or more if possible) notice of cancellation is great, as it enables me to re-arrange my day and make up a lesson for somebody else who has missed one. If you leave cancellation to the last minute, it means that I have half an hour of time that I can't slot anyone else into.
Obviously I understand that there are sometimes unforseen events that crop up, and in those cases, a last minute cancellation is fine. However, quite often with school excursions, illness etc, it is possible to give more notice, which is a huge help to me when I am teaching such a large number of students.
